Get ready Canyon Hills because the school’s theater is having its last performance this May with a cast of eleven, who will be playing as either puppets or people in the coming performance.

Avenue Q is the first time that the theater students have worked with puppets, so the show will be an interesting twist to the theater’s previous performances

Starting on the 4th of May, Avenue Q will be having performances Wednesday through Friday opening at 6:30 pm for the first and second week of May for only $7 a ticket.

However, the performance will contain mature themes and language so that will be something to look out for before choosing to buy your ticket to the show.

As for the cast of the show itself, the following students will be performing in the show: Emma Schweitzer, Stephanie Schafstall, Nick Alcorn, Alana Bjyrd, Dionysus Valdez, Paul Ashby, Via Perlas, Logan Hamilton, Chloe Clark, Nic Nguyen, and Rae Hassebrock Lopez.

And with this being their last show of the year, it would only be fair to acknowledge the previous performances of the Canyon Hills Theater including the performances of Talk Radio, Next to Normal, and The Wolves.

“It’s kind of like ‘Sesame Street,’ but it tackles more serious and mature topics in a satirical way,” senior Isabella Alcorn said. “The cast has already put a lot of effort into the show, so I am interested to see how the audience will act.”

So if this performance is anything like the rest, I am sure that the school has a lot to look forward to when it comes to the start of Avenue Q this May 4th.
