At the latest Class of 2025 Club meeting, the group decided on what their prom theme would be!
The members of the club got to choose from an array of different themes. The theme options were Under the Sea, Casino Night, Midnight Memories, Euphoria, A Night in the Garden, and Masquerade. Once the themes were shown, the Casino came in second place to the Masquerade theme!
“I think it would be a good way for people to participate in a theme,” senior Milla Sgambelluri shares. “It is very classy and fun at the same time!”
At Canyon Hills High School, every dance has a theme, but it is rare for people to follow the theme. This is a way to bring the school together! Masquerade is a very popular theme for many different high schools. If you are unfamiliar with the theme, it is requires a mask with a dress code. There are many different types of masks that people will use, one of those being tied masks that have a connected ribbon or handheld masks.
“We [ASB] are planning on decorating using a black and gold color scheme,” ASB President Sarah Chevrette told us.
This theme can be interpreted in many different ways, Canyon Hills ASB wants to decorate it using a more traditional masquerade theme with the color scheme of black and gold. This allows for lots of personalization for dresses and masks to be used because the color scheme goes with many different colors and styles.
Tickets for the Masquerade are available up until April 25, with the highest price being $95. It will be at the House of Blues in downtown San Diego on May 17th. Get your tickets now!
