Every year, the ASB department hosts the lip dub, a high-energy music video featuring all the clubs and extracurriculars, as well as volunteering students from Canyon Hills High School.

Inclusivity was a big role in this year’s lip dub according to current ASB President, Sarah Chevrette, wanting to get on campus groups such as the Boys’ lacrosse team, the Baseball team, the Badminton team, the graphic design club, and even just general students interested in participating in on the fun!
“We [ASB] are trying to include more clubs and extracurriculars so the video is more representative of the campus as a whole,” Chevrette told our previous interviewer, Gabriella Carrizales.
Around the start to middle of third period, all participating students and staff got into formation around the 1000 building, creating a tunnel-like path for the recording team and main crew to walk down while lip-syncing along to “Classic” by MKTO, with the rest of the students following behind. This year’s Lip Dub is also the first to take place around the 1000 building, giving a new look and perspective to the music video, as well as showing off the new building.

Overall, this year’s lip dub did an amazing job of promoting a fun environment of acceptance and community throughout all different types of people among our school’s students, bringing everyone together to show off the spirit that we all have for Canyon Hills High School.
