On February 24th, 2025, Starbucks officially announced removing several drinks from their menu, due to being less popular.
Starting on March 4th Starbucks plans to remove 13 drinks from its beverages menu, including several frappuccinos, and a couple other drinks. In order to cut wait times, focus on more popular drinks, and to improve the quality of orders.

“These items aren’t commonly purchased, can be complex to make, or are like other beverages on our menu,” Starbucks wrote.
The announcement left many people surprised, creating many mixed reactions to the news. Some people are disappointed with Starbucks changing up their menu so suddenly to the public; especially for younger kids and teens. Which leaves many people wondering what they’re going to do next.
“In so many possible ways, Starbucks removing a bunch of drinks so suddenly is so dumb.” CHHS Freshman student Grace Iniguez said. “Literally everyone gets the drinks they’re removing; why is it mostly frappuccinos?”
Although Starbucks simplifying its menu created many different reactions, they plan on adding new drinks and foods for customers to enjoy.
“By simplifying our menu, we’re helping to create a more intentional, thoughtful experience for our customers- one where every drink is handcrafted with precision and care,” Starbucks added.
Even though Starbucks aims to remove plenty of drinks that are time-consuming and ‘less popular.’ They aim to add new things, and focus on popular drinks and the quality of them; for customers to enjoy and stay satisfied.
