Mrs Ramirez and students from the human body system class are taking a field trip to a blood bank this month to learn more about blood and donating blood.
“The Blood Bank field trip was a fun field trip and cool to learn and do some of the things we did on the field trip,” biomedical student Alex Fischer said.
The students from Mrs Ramirez’s class had some fun activities to do to help them advance their understanding of what they learned in class.

“We got our blood tested and we held blood pouches,” Josue Flores said.
When I asked Mrs Ramirez what the purpose of going on the field trip was, she said, “The purpose was because we are learning about blood and cells so she thought it was the perfect field trip to do,”
When we asked some of the students if they should do this field trip next year for the new class, they shared that “Students obviously found value in the field trip as a way to see the application of their learning.”
“Yes, they should go on this field trip again next year because it is a good way to learn about the importance of blood donation and learning more about blood and blood cells,” Jayden L. said.
