The 2025 MLB Hall of Fame Induction: A Historic Class in Cooperstown
The 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame entry has an eternally beautiful mix of athleticism, with Suzuki, Sabathia, and Wagner joining in the BBWAA vote to have their names enshrined in Cooperstown. The Classic Baseball Era Committee, meanwhile, voted to welcome Dave Parker along with Dick Allen, the deceased of the same.

Inductees
Ichiro Suzuki (99.7% of the vote): The Japanese legend and former Seattle Mariners sensation was one vote shy of joining the exclusive unanimous group. With over 3,000 major league hits and a style of play that altered the attitude towards foreign players, Ichiro became the first Asian-born position player to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
CC Sabathia (86.8%): The workhorse lefty and perennial ace of the Yankees and Indians won 251 games and more than 3,000 strikeouts in his time. His World Series championship in 2009 with the Yankees solidified his place in the record books.
Billy Wagner (82.5%): Billy Wagner, the finest relief pitcher in baseball history, at last made it to Cooperstown in his 10th and final season on the ballot. The fireball left-hander compiled 422 career saves—sixth on the list with a hot fastball that tended to reach 100 mph given his 5’10” frame.
– Dick Allen & Dave Parker (via Classic Baseball Era Committee): Parker, two-time batting champion and 1978 NL MVP, was finally inducted, while Allen, perhaps the most feared slugger of the 1960s and 70s, was given a posthumous induction.
The 2025 Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on July 27, 2025, at Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown, New York.
