Latest album of famous artist/rapper Kendrick Lamar introduces a different side of his music 

GNX was Kendrick’s first album in 2 years – which introduces many songs with different beats, and entertaining lyrics. 

“…Fast forward to GNX, I felt it was just a perfect time because not only the energy was lost, but it was the energy that was bubbling inside of me as well. I wanted to go back to the forefront of just the bite and dust, the grit of rap, just all raps and hard – beats and that’s like the basics for me.” Kendrick said in an interview. “…it was a great transition from Mr. Morale because that was my most intimate and I wanted to go inside of my own psyche and my own personal withdrawals and see how it connects with the public and who can relate, so during this time around I think it was necessary coming out of that cocoon and feeling like okay I arrive now, I can spread my wings and show every state of who I am as far as Kendrick Lamar.” 

In this newly released album by Kendrick, there’s a bunch of different songs that were shown. Which brings out plenty of different vibes with each song. Even though each song has a different kind of beat, some tell actual stories such as the difficulties with self discovery. Which makes the album more creative, and more in depth to some of the songs in general and the message that Kendrick Lamar is trying to show. 

He did really well also with being creative with each beat for all the songs in the playlist. Which allows the audience to find a favorite song easier… One song that is well done is “Luther” which is a song that also features singer SZA. It brings more energetic vibes with Kendrick’s lines in the song and also SZA’s lines. This song was a big hit also, since it became well known on some social media platforms like TikTok and also being the most played on the album on Spotify. 

Another thing that was done well in the album was how Kendrick Lamar shows vulnerability and confidence in his album at the same time. Making the songs become more powerful in their own ways; the lyrics and beats. The creativity in this album shows the enjoyment he had with all the songs in general, and also showing, with some songs vulnerability. 

Even so, this album was a hit, one weak point to this album is having a couple songs that don’t fit with the vibe that Kendrick introduced in the album. Some songs that weren’t as interesting as the others is, “Peekaboo” and “Dodger Blue” Which didn’t stand out as much. 

Although this album had some weak points, it’s worth listening to. It became popular because of the level of creativity Kendrick showed throughout the whole album. Introducing plenty of different songs with different beats, which can attract more people to listen to and enjoy some of the certain songs on his album, or just the whole album in general.
