Our former president Jimmy Carter tragically passed away on December 29th 2024.

Carter was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma on August 15th 2015. Due to expensive care Carter along with his doctors were able to slow the cancer significantly, allowing him to live his life to the fullest.
He then passed away 10 years after his diagnosis due Melanoma and old age. Carter had just turned 100 two months before he passed away.
Carter was born in October 1924, in Plains, Georgia. Graduating from naval academy in 1946 made him the man he was, emphasizing his discipline and political views. Shortly after graduating Carter married Rosalynn Smith and had 3 children.
Jimmy Carter didn’t stop there. After 7 years as a naval officer he became the governor of Georgia where his political story began. He preached about equality, ecology, and an efficient government which gained him plenty of attention from the media and citizens all over the country.
Carter then proceeded to run for president and officially became our nation’s 39th president from 1977 – 1981.
He was awarded the national peace prize for work to find peaceful solutions on international conflicts.
