Prequel to the remake of The Lion King, officially released on the 20th of December 2024

Mufasa The Lion King is a movie that shows the audience and Disney fans the backstory of Mufasa and Scar; his brother.
“I think The Lion King is so singularly a part of culture and global culture. There are very few things that have that level of penetration across languages, across cultures.” Director Barry Jenkins says. “…the 30 years of relationship you’ve built with these characters and this legacy is going to be deepened and respected and carried forth in a way that I think is truly quite moving.”
Even though this movie was just a prequel to the original movie The Lion King, it did really well. It included plenty of different songs, making all the songs catchy and entertaining in its own way. Choosing songs that relate to certain situations that are happening at that moment. All the songs being catchy and entertaining for the audience make the movie more thrilling.
The animation made it even more enjoyable due to the movie being animated in 3D. The scenery for certain scenes just made the movie more eye-catching, towards the audience. Whenever they explored new places together, there was always a scene that just made that spot more stunning towards the audience. Adding 3D rather than 2D like the original Lion King movie; would’ve made the movie flop. Since most Disney movies are getting created with actual people and or 3D now, it would’ve been a bad idea to animate it like the original Lion King movie.
One thing that I disliked about this movie was the random cutscenes of Tivon and Pumba. While watching the movie you’re so interested in the story of Mufasa and the situations he encounters throughout the movie; to suddenly watching the reactions of Tibon and Pumba. As lovable these characters are, because of the impact they made in the original Lion King movie; It was a waste of minutes.
Honestly, this movie is good, family-friendly, and definitely recommended. The animating, voice acting and singing is enjoyable at home and or at theaters.
