The new schedule for winter break at CHHS is accepted easily by students and their hate for stress.

Students like Junior Megan Le and Junior Katherine Zeman see the break as a way to destress. Le explains, “I like it (Midterms) before (Winter Break). Because winter break feels like a reward instead of more study time.”
Confirming this idea, Zeman exclaims, “Yes, at first I was really stressed about finals, […] but after the stress of all the tests, like the final week passed I was able to have those two weeks of Winter Break without any projects without any worry, with just pure vacation.”
Adding on to her previous statement, Le says, “I liked how I just got to go into break like, stress free”.
Senior Alex Toth explains that his reason for liking midterm before the break is because “when we had finals after break, I forgot everything from the first semester”.
Agreeing with Toth, Junior Elizabeth Paddock says, “I liked that I was able to remember stuff before having to forget it all during break”, and another Junior Ariana Jennings gives the basic thought behind the ideas stating, “I don’t have to worry about finals while on winter break”
While everyone interviewed said that they would recommend this schedule for future years and classes, there is one student that recommends some changes to the schedule that could make it more appealing.
Paddock states, “Some people miss their finals the week before break, especially towards the end for your classes. And I feel like the last week of school everybody’s like ‘Oh my gosh, like, why am I still doing school on the last week of school’. (Have finals) A week before what happened this year, so that people are still here and they’re able to have their brains on instead of turning them off before break”
