She is a dedicated theater and technical theater teacher, she has made a significant impact at her school, supporting young talent and inspiring creativity in her students. Ms. Cantalupo not only inspires her students while they are on stage, but also teaches them the intricate skills that go into crafting spectacular productions. From directing captivating performances, to managing the technical magic behind the scenes, Ms. Cantalupo is dedicated to shaping the next generation of theater artists. She has a way to always show her students there should be fun in anything you learn, which is why she involves hands-on learning in her daily lessons.
Students are encouraged to express themselves, whether they’re stepping onto the stage for the first time, or working behind the scenes. “Ms. Cantalupo is an understanding, really fun, and creative teacher. She takes her time on things too when teaching her students.” said Bricel Morrow, a Junior in technical theater 5-6 at CHHS. Her approach fosters a safe environment where everyone feels valued, and it’s no wonder her classes are always full of energy and enthusiasm. She knows how to bring out the best in her students, even those who are a bit shy or unsure of themselves. Everyone feels welcomed and in a safe space when in her class.
