Fatal car crash highlights dangers of drinking and driving
Deadly car crash on the I-15 Sunday of April 23rd, kills a mother and her 4 year old, a doing of another driver drinking and driving.
Erick Arambula (23 years old) was driving a black Toyota Tacoma on the northbound lanes of Old HIghway 395 when he swerved onto the right shoulder, ran into a chain link fence and went down on an embankment that ended in a fatal head-on collision with a Kia Forte and a Tesla.
29 year-old Courteney Taylor and her daughter Amaya Taylor were identified as the pair killed in the collison. Erick Arambula driving the Toyota Tacoma was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. There was evidence found later by officials that DUI was a factor in the collison.
Driving under the influence of alcohol or any controlled substances puts everyone on the road at risk, and can take innocent lives away. A family member of Courteney stated on their go fund me website that the mother and daughter were driving back from Temecula after spending their day in the sunshine.
Drinking and driving has major consequences and puts each and every one of us in danger. About 30% of car crashes are drunk drivers and can be easily avoided, and keep everyone on the road safe.
Risking your life and the lives of those around you is not worth the pain and mourning driving under the influence can bring. Always consider about those around you and the families that would be affected by the mistake of getting in the driver seat of a car under the influence.
