Club Elevated Celebrates Red Ribbon Week With Student Writing Competition
Club Elevated’s creative contest began last Friday, the 21st of October. Students that are interested in writing and literature may be interested in participating in this event, as it will be an opportunity to send a message, figuratively, to your past self. The event will go from the 21st of October to the 4th of November, any submissions will be accepted if they are within this timeline.
Whether you are regretful, nostalgic, or both, this event is embracing the idea of self reflection. To participate you must have a visual and or physical representation of what you would tell your past self or someone else from your past. More specifically, you are asked to focus/ touch on mental health and or substance prevention.
“This event will hopefully let them reflect on the life that they’ve lived and how if they were to do drugs,” Vice President of Club Elevated Daniel Canuel said. “Because club elevated is about drug abuse, how that would have impacted them.”
If you or someone else is interested in entering the contest submit your video, essay, artwork (digital or traditional), poem, or song by clicking here or grab a QR code from one of their posters around campus.
